Tomorrow is THE Day!

Tomorrow we fly out of Wilmington at 4:05 pm to Charlotte.   From there we have an 8 hour overnight flight to Gatwick Airport, London.  Today will be spent wrapping up details like packing, paying bills, making sure I have not forgotten some critical item.   Also going to the Orthopaedic Dr. for follow-up visit on the foot.  Hoping for good news there.  Though the trip to the airport is exciting, it is one of the most stressful times because you find your mind going over and over items to make sure you did not forget something!  This is one of the first times we do not have an early morning flight so that will be nice -- no worrying about over sleeping!

I just made reservations for lunch at Vittoria IV in Edinburgh based on a recommendation from Joy K.  She blogged that the crowds are huge and she was glad she had made a reservation -- food is good too!   We have private tours with our Cruise Critic friends in Liverpool, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Inverness.  In Glasgow, we have bus transportation to Edinburgh to spend the day there and attend the Military Tattoo that evening.  When we dock in Le Havre, we are planning to take the ship's excursion to Paris.  Will be a long drive and a short visit but just in case we do not get another opportunity, it will be nice to see the city once.  In Gernsey, Cobh, and Dublin we plan to to do sightseeing on our own.   Have tickets for the HOHO bus in Dublin with a stop at Guinness of course :-)

First stop in London after arrival at the Rubens at the Palace to store our luggage -- Kew Gardens!  Better get to those tasks now...stay tuned to the blog for future installments.
