We have arrived!

Checking in for a short post.  It has been a very long day and we are dragging!   As a matter of fact, Al has already dragged himself through the shower and into bed -- fast asleep.  We landed at 7:20 am and finally made it to our hotel, the Rubens at the Palace, around 9:30 am.  Of course our room was not ready so we walked around for awhile and got some lunch.  Checked in to our room around noon and freshened up briefly before heading out to Victoria Station to figure out how to get to Kew Gardens on the tube.  The gardens were beautiful.  We rode the 30 minute "explorer tour" and then went back to see some areas of particular interest.  After getting back to the hotel, we went to dinner and I had my first fish and chips -- service was not good and I feel sure there are better fish and chips out there in the UK although they advertised theirs as the best in Victoria!  The quest continues.....

Have clothes strung out all over the room and plan to re-do the packing tomorrow morning when I have more energy.  We do not have to worry about the 50 lb limit for the ship so it will be much easier this time.

We meet the bus here at the hotel tomorrow at 11 am for the 1 hour trip (approximate) to the ship.  Still does not seem real.  One of the things I look forward tomost of all is meeting all the people I have been communicating with on our Cruise Critic roll call for almost a year now.

Cannot get pictures to download tonight -- must be something with the internet.  Will try to post pictures later.  Got to get some rest myself!  It is 10:30 pm regardless of the time stamp on the blog :-)
